BUSINESS DURING MARCH
'lhe following particulars of the loan transactions of the Public Trust Office and new business reported during the month . ended 31st March, 1927, have been supplied by the Prime Minister: The amount paid out .in .settlement .of new loans was £193,470, making a total Of £2,494,445 since the beginning of the financial year, which commenced on Ist April, 1926. Further new loans amounting, to £202,205 were granted, bringing the total of new loans on hand awaiting completion to £572,303. to which must be added the offers made of loans less than the full amounts- applied for. These amount to £183,155, making a .grand total of £755,458. There arc also applications on hand for .additional 'loans amounting,to £359.631. The value of the new estates accepted-for.'admin-istration was £536,210, and this brings the total new- estates business for the .year to £5,551,019— : an amount c.xcccding the previous year's total ' by £899,572. The figures' arc a record in the history of the office:
