Won by one and a half lengths. Time, 1.16 . Invercargill Cup, of 1000 sovs; one and a quarter miles.—l Set Sail, 8.9, 1; 3 Circulation, 2; 3 Ravenna, 9.1, 3. All started’. Won by a nose. A neck between second arid third. Time, 2.7 3-5. Oretai Trot, of 240 sovs; one mile and a half. —Chimer, 12yds bhd, 1; : Cameo, 12yds bhd, 2; Springnote, 36yds bhd) 3, Scratched: Desert Star, Quick Match. Won by five lengths. Time, 3!35 3-5.
Waikiwi Handicap, of 155 sovs; seven furlongs.—l Black Duke, 9.8, 1; 10 Vogue, 7.10, 2; 2 Soldier’s Hope, 8-2, 3. Also started: Spearmaid, King Gup, Obliged. Paris, Gipsy Maid, Qlenham, Salzia, Rippling Lake, Fairy Tidings, Warseer. Won by a length. Time 1.29 4-5.
