Gladstone Handicap, of 200 sovs; one mil c and three-quarters: 4 Ivaikahu 1; 2 Kapuna 2; 3 Coastguard 3. All started. Won bv four lengths. Time 3.14 4-5.
Roslyn Trot, of 250 sovs; two miles: 1 Desert. Star 1; 4 Logan Hanlon 2; 5 Revolt. 3. Scratched: Quick Match. Won by two lengths. Time 4.46. Shorts Handicap, of 275 sovs; six furlongs: 6 Bugle Note 1; 7 .Birthmark 2; 5 Eatoii Bells 3. Scratched: Countersight, Arpent- Won bv a head. Time 1.14 1-5. GREYMOUTH MEETING. GREYMOUTH, This Day. For the Greyinouth Jockey Club's concluding day there is fine weather and a good attendance. Results: — Novice Handicap, of 100 sovs; five furlongs and a half: 2 The Atom, 8.5, 1; 1 Motor Smash, 9.0, 2; 5 Cash Box, 9.0, 3. All started. Won by a length. Time 1.12 1-5. Third Hurdles, of 125 sovs; one mile and a half: 1 Oriflamb, 10.4. 1; 2 Ho, kioi, 7.2, 2; 3 Flying Master, 9.3, 3. Also started: Lord Ashlea, Ellali, Hiero. Won bv two lengths. Time 2.51 3-5. TOTALISATOR INVESTMENTS AT AUCKLAND OVER HALF A MILLION FOR THE WEEK AUCKLAND, This Day Totalisator investments for the four days’ races and three days’ trots totalled £547.488 10s, compared with £617,892, a decrease of £70,403 10s. At Ellerslie the decline was £66,355 (28 events) and at Alexandra Park £4048 10s; but last year there were 29 races at Ellerslie and 32 the year before. State taxes for the week's sport approximate £37.000, exclusive of the amusement tax:
