Substantial .increase in expenditure

A -British United Press message from Be'rlin states that substantial increases in the army and navy expenditures were disclosetl in the draft Budget, under which £3,000,000 is earmarked for buijdihg torpedo boats. The respective totals of tlie army and navy estimates are £24,250,000 and £11,250,000, compared with Britain's £44,250,000 and £59,750,000. ■
