The management of the Metropolitan Opera 'House has voluntarily given Marion'Talley a hew contract, at a salary of £750 a night. Miss Talley, who is 20 ,years of age, came. to New York from Kansas City last year, and. lias proved the greatest young soprano of-the decade.
