MOTUEKA GALA
(To The Editor.)
Sir,—May I mention through 1 your. columns the excellent _ arrangements' made in connection with the first gala held in this district. Every credit is due to the secretary ■ arid the traffic inspector, particularly "the parking of the cars. Of I must not. forget the whole executive as they should., also be mentioned. I am only new iti;the district, and coming from Chiristchurch where I have worked in different galas, I could not but.belp notice what was going on. Now, sir, there was one bad hitch and that was the steamer service. I am given to understand .there was quite a number of Nelsoriites unable to get aboard,, and I sincerely trust the shipping company will put on more vessels for Saturday for -the Caledonian Sports and give' the public another chance to have a good healthy day's outing.—l am,etc. '.''„.
