SYDNEY, 28th Dec.
Rain was exceptionally heavy iu the Newcastle district and some of the lowlying parts round the town are submerged.. Lhi number of people were flooded out and boats were sent to rescue marooned families.
CAMPERS FLOODED OUT
SYDNEY, 28th Dec. Incessant drenching rain continues, the whole State participating. A rough sea is running, hampering shipping. iSome rivers are flooding and railways are hampered by numbers of washawaya.. To-morrow's Tattersall's races _ have been postponed owing .to the flooding of the course.
Thousands of Christmas campers were flooded out .and driven home.
