STRANGE CASE IN PAIAIEIISTON NORTH (United Press Association.) PAEMEiISTON N., 27th Dec. A .strange case of lost memory, occupying 'the attention of the" PaJirierstofl North, police, occurred on Sunday morning, when a man walked into the watch-
house seeking his own whereabouts. "Can you tell me what town this is?" lie asked (lie constable in charge. "I've got no idea how 1 got here." All the information the stranger could give wag that he thought he had been working in an office in Auckland. He is now in hospital receiving medical attention. The police description of Jiiin h as follows: —Age, about 30 years; height sft 9in; round featured, clean shaven, pale complexion, of strong build and smart appearance, hair brushed hack, his suit navj blue, and he wears black patent leather shoes. An overcoat in his possession is of grey check tweed, while a greyish brown hat bears the name of an Auckland firm. A cigarette case in his possession is inuialled C.L.
