NEW ZEALANDERS DEFEAT PONTYPRIDD .

LONDON; 25th. Dec. The New Zealand Leagues footballers beat Pontypridd bv 17 points to 8. The New Zealanders scored live tries, one converted, against! Pontypridd, two tries, one converted.
The game was thrilling and vigorous, the local men showing surprising form. They pressed their attack in the early stages, but Kirwan, obtaining possession, passed to Menzies, who was pulled down just in time. Davidson immediately afterwards scored an excellent, try, which Delgrosso converted. The Blacks were missing few opportunities, but Pontypridd were tackling, effectively. Green got across for the home side just before, the interval, but. Fairfax failed to add the goal. Resuming for the second spell Delgrosso sprinted finely, enabling Mason to score a try, which was not converted. A minute later Brown got a try, but Mason’s kick went wide. Curtis, dribbling prettily, scored for Pontypridd, Shea converting. Near time Avery and Davidson added tries to the New Zealand tally, neither being converted.
The Now Zealand team were: Kirwan, Desmond, Cole, Davidson, Brown, Delgrosso, Hall, Menzies, Parkes, Herring, Mason, Thomas, and Avery.
