WASTED ALLOWANCE
A sergeant and a private were on tlie shooting range. 'The private was tioubled with a cold, and was continually sneezing, which annoyed the sergeant and put him off his mark. ‘ Confound you!” lie yelled at last, “you’ve made me miss again.'’ '“Well. I didn’t do nothing, sergeant!” exclaimed the private. “Yer, you did ! It was your blinkin’ sneeze ” “But 1 didn’t sneeze !" protested the private. “That's just if!” roared the sergeant. “Tt was the first bloomin’ time you’ve missed sneezing, and T allowed for it!”
