TADMOR DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB CLOSING SHOOT Tlif closing shocrt for tlie 1926 season of tin* above club was fired on the Tapawera rifle range on Saturday hist, 9th inst., in very heavy rain and mist, which accounted for (he small attendance of 20 members, which was below the average attendance for the year. The results of the Cup and Trophy shooting were as follows: — -A (.trade Cup and gold medal: Rifleman R. llannan: 2nd (silver medal), Rifleman A. Druminoml. L Grade Cup and gold medal: Rifleman D. 0. Griffith; 2nd (silver medal). Rifleman W. Kinzetf. Silver medal for best shot off rifle over 12 ranges: Rifleman A. Mofh'tt (score 358): 2nd, Rifleman It. llannan (.score 357). Sealed trophy for best shot with handicap over 5-600 yards range: Rifleman A. Drnmmond. Sniping, 5 shots at 200 yards at 20inch disc, with 4 seconds exposure, trophy £1 cash, in three prizes: Ist, Rifleman J. lliggins, 12/-; 2nd, Rifleman \. Drummond, 5/-; 3rd, Rifleman !'•. lliggins, 3/-.
Practice shooting in rapid and deliberate 'ire was then carried out, over M.e 200 and 300 yards rang.- an I some good scores were registered, after ivl/icii tlie president (Mr I'ahr.er) presented me Winners with their troplu/s. Cheers for the winners concluded the meeting
