POWER BOARD FOR NELSON?

THE forthcoming conference of local bodies to consider Hie formation of a power beard in the Nelson district is important. The matter is one requiring thorough investigation and consideration. Last year a similar conference passed a pious resolution and faded into thin air—hence this week's gathering. If a power board can be formed in this district, on a sound basis, then it should surely be formed. If, on the other hand, a board is formed before its time, the whole district will suffer.
