MEETING OF CAPTAINS OF INDUSTRY

LONDON, Oct. 8
German captains of industry, including ex-Chancellor Cuno, have arrived, and lunched at the German Embassy. Herr Carl von Weinberg, who is interested in textile dye stuffs, says that Hie chief reason for the meeting is hr establish European confidence, otherwise the Americans will lake everything. If England and Germany bad met in 1921 over the question of wine and cigars, in the atmosphere of a quiet, country house, they, might have greatly assisted each other through post-war difficulties. English people and Germans understand each other better than any others, and a European revival depends primarily thereon. . .
