ROSE NOT UP TO NEW ZEALAND , FORM

Rose did the mile limited handicap from scratch in 4.27 2-5. A London policeman, WilTen, with 65 yards start, won in 4.20 1-5.
Comment is made on Rose’s poor times, whicll fail to compare with his performances in New Zealand, though iie lias done better here training than in the races. The triangular match was won by the civil service team, with Id points, the London Athletic Club having 17 and the Dominion Students 13. Weightman Smith beat Lord Burleigh in the 120 yards hurdles in 15 2-5. Hon. ner (Australia) won the long jump with 24.5),. Steyn (South Africa) was second with 22.11.
