TO EXTEND BRITISH TRADE
ASSISTANCE TO EXPORTERS

LONDON, June 25,
The Department of Oversens Trade is about to take an important step with a view to assisting British exporters to extend (heir trade to New Zealand, Australia, Malaya, Ceylon, nnd elsewhere, especially the heavy engineering trades, where long credit is demanded. This was announced by Mr A. M. Samuel, Secretary of the Department of Overseas Trade, at a luncheon at the Constitutional Club. He said that the Department would grant an insurance to British exporters to cover them against fear of loss by) lmd debts in the export market. The printed conditions will he issued in a, few (lays.
