INFLUENZA IN WELLINGTON
SCHOOL ATTENDANCE AFFECTED
(United Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, This Dav
Influenza is depleting the attendances at schools, but so far the authorities have not thought it necessary to close the schools. A rumour to this effect, was current on Saturday, but was promptly denied. It was stated that though many scholars are absent the epidemic is not serious enough to warrant closing down. Most cases are only absent a day or two and the trouble showed signs of lessening in severity.
