The Daily Sketch states that a. letter, threatening the kidnapping of tho Duchess of York, was received at Bruton House, the Earl of -Strathmore’s town residence, where the Duko and Duchess have been staying since before the birth of Princess Elizabeth. The letter, which was written on cheap, ordinary notepapor and showed signs of illiteracy, was opened by the Duchess’ secretary, who handed'it to tho Scotland Yard authorities. The latter do not attach much importance to it, believing it to be the work of a madman.
