EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS
WAVE OF PILGRIMS ENTERING CHICAGO (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association. NEW YORK, June 19. . A Chicago message states that a wave* of pilgrims from every nalibn in the world has swept into the city for the Eucharistic Congress. Railroad officials declare that the crowds exceed anything ever experienced. It is estimated that 200,000 people reached Chicago by motors, trains and steamboats, and another 350,000 are expected to-morrow. Formal ceremonies open at midnight to-night with first Masses in various churches, after which Masses, will be held in every church until "noon tomorrow, with Cardinals, Archbishops and Bishops a 3 celebrants. , All visiting Cardinals and. : High Church dignitaries will gather in the Holy Name Cathedra] to-morrow for the formal installation of Cardinal Bonzano as official Papal legate for the Congress.
