The brethren of the Manchester Unity here were delighted . to receive a combined visit of the Loyal Motueka Lodge and LoyalM out ere Branch for the purpose of" initiating several eondidates belonging tc/this district on Saturday last,. Two full car loads—a "sisteen-seatei;’’ from Motueka. and Messrs Newman Bros.’ '‘glass house’ ’from Lower Aloutgre—arrived about 7.30 p.m.. and the .business of' the evening immediately commenced - The following offidero conducted the ceremony: N.G. Rro. F.. J. Wills; i.P.N.G. Bro. S. Canavan ; V. G. Bro. Canton; Conductor Bro. Boyce; Guard-, ian Bro. Brougham ; Organist Sister Wills. After the..close of the ceremony the visitors, wore ' onterlaincd at supper, and a short tivne was spent in amusements. On behalf of the visiting brethren the N.G. returned thanks for the hospitality recei'ved. and *o the loeal ladies also for their kindness in preparing and serving the much appreciated supper. Ha also stated -that he hoped to visit Ngatimoti again within three months to carry out further initiations, and hoped to have the pleasure of initiating sisters from Ngatimoti on that occasion.
