PROPOSED AAIALGAALVTION WITH CITY THE COUNT 1 L’S TERMS In regard to the proposed amalgamation of Tnhunamii with the city, the following recommendation was submitted to the City Council last evening from the Committee : That the Board he informed that a possible scheme for amalgamation would entail (1) payment by the Tnhunamii ratepayers of all the city rates; (2) after amalgamation a declaration of the town district. as a special rating area; (3) the ratepayers of the town district to then pay. in addition to other city rates, the rates necessary to cover such expenditure as is required to provide gas, water, drainage, improvements to streets, and any other conveniences necessary for the town district to have. And that, the Council is prepared to listen to any suggestions the Board may have to make or to- meet- them in conference oti the lines above indicated. The clause was adopted.
