MOTOR TOURIST TROPRY

The Isle of Man senior tourist motor trophy was won by Stanley Wood in 3/54/59 4-5, average 67.54 miles hourly, a, new full course record for 264 miles. Next came llanutey 3/59/0 2-5, Longman 4/0/0 1-5, Craig 4/44/7. Simpson put up a second lap record of 32 minutes 9 seconds, average speed 70.43. Moller. a New Zealander, retired in the fifth lap owing to engine trouble. Altogether ,30 retired from 57 starters. There were many crashes, but nothing worse than slight concussion was reported.
