THE REP. TEAM

(To the Editor)

Sir,—There is only one way, in my Opinion, that a representative team ban be picked with any satisfaction, and that is, send out- slips of probable players to 20 old rep. players in 'Nelson, asking them to pick a team and send iiito the Union. The majority of players thus picked to, be the team. The Rugby Union has my sympathy. First the Council down on them re rent of Park and now the selection committee.

Ob \ what a team ; players out of place. For llie picking of team last year llie same way ns this lost the selector his job. They ought to. tMv team would lie as follows:—Full-back, (Hover; three-quarters, Snodgrass, Heed, Lush: live-eighths, McGregor and Heard, had, Simpson; wing forward, Mowers; lorwardsy W. Snow, Toon, Olniltjes, Harrell, Max-, 15. Snow, J. Kveretl.. A iSeddon Shield team should be picked right away, so that they get the combination; not pick men now to,try them out. The public will not support such a team as was picked last year, and tliis one scums lev me to he worse.—l am. etc
