The death is announced at Mas ter ton, says a Cress Association message, of Mr Edward McEwarv, : for many years associated with public affairs in North Wairarapa and engaged by the Government in the purchase of horses for remounts during the Boer War, aged 77.
A Wellington Press Association message received to-day announces the death at Wibangnrei- of 'Air 'James Crosby Martin, a former Judge, of the Supreme Court,-aged 70. ’The death has occurred at Wellington of Mr T. A. Peterkin, aged 88, for many years connected with the railway service. He was appointed locomotive engineer at Wellington in 1897. Press Association.
