WIRELESS TELEPHONY TESTS
QUESTION IN HOUSE OF COMMONS
(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.)
LONDON, Junr 8. Tn the House of Commons Kir Arehilialil Sinclair asked whether Mr Disk's offer to conduct two-way wireless telephony tests was accepted and if not, whv not?
The Postmaster-General replied: “1 have communicated with the Australian authorities and I understand the Australian Amalgamated Wireless Company has not a station capable of undertaking radio-telephonic transmission. Therefore the experiments are impracticable. The company offered to receive record strength experimental transmission from Rugby. I welcomed the offer, but unfortunately these have been suspended owing to the coal troubles."
