LIBERAL SPLIT
MEETING OF COMMONERS FAVOURS MR LLOYD GEORGE (By Electric Telegraph-Copyright) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, June 8. The Liberal Parliamentary Party splL between the Lloyd Georgian and Oxfordian sections resulted in a meeting in the House of Commons, at which 33 were present. A letter was read from the Earl of Oxford saying that nothing had happened to alter the views he' bad recently expressed criticising Mr Lloyd George’s attitude during the strike. A motion that Liberal Commoners deprecated the publicity given leaders’ differences and hoped for the restoration of unity was carried by 20 votes to 10, after an amendment to delete the first part bad been rejected by 20 to 12. The voting thus favoured the Lloyd Georgeans. ,
