To day is, we believe, the 85th birthday cf Mr \Y. T. Bond. The community'generally will extend to him hearty good wishes and many happy returns of the day, E. Buxton and Co., Ltd., received telegraphic advice, to-day from London of the death of Sir William Cony, a Director of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, Ltd. The company’s flag was flown at half-mast to-day in respect to his memory.
