April 6 A meeting of the Newcastle ....branch of tiie Enginedrivers' and Firemen’s Federation discussed grievances and expressed dissatisfaction at the award granted by the Coal Commission. It was decided to recommend at two nggregaie meetings to he held on Hie 11 a I lieli Is that fourteen days 'notice be given uf their intention to strike. Ihe intention was expressed at the meeting that the men were going to attempt to stop all work on the whole of tiie alilelds. It is stated that a meeting at Mailland held carried a similar motion.
