Canard liners arc likely to carry small passenger seaplanes lo enable business men to shorten the Atlantic voyage by several hours. Already these liners have ballrooms, swimming baths. barbers' shops, gymnasiums, and shops, and the new sky taxi-cabs will complete the amenities of city life. The seaplanes will have folding wings, and there will be special platforms from which * they will rise. Business men. to whom the saving of lime often means the saving of much money, will welcome this innovation no matter what the price, for undoubtedly it will not be a cheap luxury. A sky taxi, however, will enable the business man to reach London or New York in four days—a day sooner than the liner. During the summer season .win ii the Iraflic from America to Kurope. and vice versa, is very heavy, there will be keen competition for the skv-taxi.
