FRUIT CONGESTION IN WELLINGTON
Til HUE is considerable indignation locally concerning the congestion of export fruit in Wellington. It if considered, and rightly so. that growers should have been better informed of the pnsilinn in order that full use could have hcc,n made of the cool store facilities in the district. At Mntueka particularly, tin. dosing down for seveml days haf been keenly felt by reason of the hut that seme of the apples will possibly matin e in the interval and the chances of exporting them lost altogether. The outstanding fact, however, is that Nelson has not been kept in close enough touch with the position in Wellington. H is the strong opinion of many growers that there must be an improvement in such matters in the future.
