EASTER TOURNAMENT With just on fifty rinks competing, including representatives of various Dominion clutis. the Easier bowls tout* nament commenced yesterday' in sunny weather. Iml with rather a, stiff sou - wester blowing. The Nelson, Maitai, and Wakefield greens were used, the tournament being divided into four sections. Sherwood, who was one of the original members of him Club and secretary for seven years; and a motion was carried in silence expressing deep regret at the loss the Club had sustained, and of sympathy with tin- relatives of deceased.

A veterans’ team from tliri Thermion (Wellington) Club is taking part in the tournament. The aggregate age of the four comprising the rink, skipped by'S. Stanford.- works out at over 300. - Reeo.n.llv the rink won the veterans' match at Wellington |
