STARVED HIMSELF TO DEATH

SAD case of insanity (United Press Association.) HAMILTON, April 1. A sad case of delusional insanity, in which a patient suffering from religious mania earned out scriptural dcotrine of ‘ Ye work not neither shall ye cat." to the letter and starved himself to death in consequence, was shown at an inquest held hero this morning. The father said that for nearly twelve months his son, who was aged 20. had been an inmate of Tokarmi menial hospital, where, following out the text, as he was not allowed to work he refused to eat. A week ago his condition became so weak that the superintendent said he could no longer forcibly feed him and preferred that lie should be removed to his home, which was done, and the son died within a week. Medical evidence showed that death was due to exhaustion arising from starvation, the result of delusional insanity.
