Eighty-four vessels aggregating 2,193,080 tons gross, were launched in 1925, according to Lloyd's annual survey. Of these, 49i per cent, or 1,085,000 tons, were launched in the British Isles. Germany conies second with 406,000 tons; Italy 142,000; United States 129,000. japan is eighth with 56.000. The decrease in the total output is 54.000 tons, compared with 1924, the deereas,. in the British Isles being 355,000. Thus the increase abroad is 301.000 tons. The tonnage launched in Britain for owners abroad was 178,000.
