GERMANY MAY SEEK RESTORATION

Tin* Evening Standard mentions that, there are indications that the first substantive act after Germany's entry into the League of Nations will tie an agitation for the return of the lost colonies. Apparently there will he a recognition of the fact that the return of German East and South-West Africa is impossible, and the agitation is likely to be concentrated on the restoration of tlie ('a memons. "It would be unwise to imder-eet imat e this new feeling, o" rather revival of an old feeling, ns a source of future friction.
Hamburg is now reviving as a shipping centre, but its eyes turn to South America rather than to Africa. Berlin, however, is again thinking of “a place in the siiii."
