July 10 Russell Scott, a former millionaire financier, has been hanged after a remarkable criminal career. Owing to affairs with women he went through his fortune and became successively salesman, actor and bootlegger. In April lastyear ho killed a man in an altercation over a bottle of whisky. He admitted lie had been a highwayman and had participated in 35 robberies.
