HEAVY TRAFFIC BY-LAWS
NOT UNREASONABLE (United Press Association.) DANNEVJRKE, This Day. .. In a prosecution under the heavy traffic hv-laws, counsel for defendant contended that the recent regulations under the Motor Vehicles Act overrode the county by-laws. The Magistrate, Mr Stout; said he bad carefully looked into the point. He did not think the by-laws unreasonable or repugnant. If he were to hold otherwise, it might mean that thousands of pounds of damage would be done to county roads, and who was going to pay for it? He must uphold ilie by-laws. It would be a very serious thing to upset by-laws at this season of the vear.
Security of appeal was fixed at £2O,
