MAIL CONTRACTORS
INCREASED SUBSIDY ASKED FOR 'Valter! Press Association.! WELLINGTON. July 16. A request that the Government should increase the subsidy to mail contractors, in view of the greater obligations which have to be met in the matter of motor taxation, was made to the Prime Minister by a deputation to-day of successful contractors.
In the reply of Mr Coates arid also Mr Markman, secretary of the P. and T., an indication was given that, the matter had already received some consideration.
