(From our Parliamentary Correspondent). \\ ELLINGTON, This Day The report of the Commission which tin k evidence some months l ago upon mental defectives and sexual oltenders waft laid on the table of the House yeslerdav. Mr Eorhes asked whether it was intended to bring down legislation in regard to the subject. I’hi* Minister of Health (Sir Maui Bomare! in reply, said that legislation would he introduced as soon asi possible, embracing the recommendations ot the ce.nmi is'sion. 'This session?” asked Mr 1-orhes. The Minister repeated that it would he dune as soon as jioH-ihle. Certain officers ot the Department were at present abroad and he had asked them to make investigations into the subject in other countries-. ,s,o that New Zealand might he guided by the latest information. Legislation would lie drafted when their re port was received.
