THEFT CHARGES
TWENTY-SEVEX COUNTS
(United Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. Raleigh Grinsherg appeared at the .Magistrate’s Court yesterday on 27 counts of theft in respect to fidelity bonds collected from men employed ostensibly as collectors in connection with accused’s business, which was lengthily discussed by a lively meeting of creditors’ representatives on 2nd July. Amounts enumerated totalled over £17)00. Various persons including a law clerk, related how they lrid been induced to part with money by promises of lucrative employment. Evidence was heard on tour -diarges. to which accused pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. The other charges were adjourned till to-day, hail being refused. 'J2Z!
