COST OF EDUCATION
THIS YEAR'S INCREASE (United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. An indication of what the Budget will disclose in regard to the increase in the cost of education, was made by Sir James Parr to-day, replying to a deputation. Education expenditure this year, he s.aid, would he £‘.500.000 more than itwas last year, and he hoped to he able to justify the increase, which was largely due to the, r'le in teachers' salaries and to the increase in the number of pupils attending school.
