The Australian hockey players arrived from Sydney by the Moeraki this morning and left for Palmerston North, where they meet Manawatu this afternoon. A member of the team expressed the opinion that the present combination was as strong, if not stronger, than the last. Australian team. Tho trip over had been rough, most of the members of the team being sea sick. The packing round the Mwraki.’s propeller shaft blew out on the trip and the speed in consequence was decreased until repairs were effected.
