LONDON, June 13. At Chelsea in the triangular athletic match, of five events the dominions students Athletic Union scored twelve points, Achilles Club eleven. Inter-Var-sity Athletic Beard seven. Poryitt. for the Dominions, won the hundred yards in ten seconds. R. Horner won the long jump, the distance being 22.9 J-. He also won from the fifteen yards mark tiie quarter mile open handicap in 48 4-5. Porritt- from scratch won the first- heat, of the hundred yards open handicap in 9 4-5 and the second vraund m ten seconds dead. The final was done tn 9 4-5, in which lie was beaten by inches. LONDON, June 14. Powell, a New Zealander, came see end to Horner in the long jump, covering 22ft-. inches. NEW YORK, June 13.
De Hart Hubbard, of the. University of Michigan, a negro athlete, smashed the world’s record for the running broad jump by 4 11-16 inches at the National Collegiate championship meeting, jumping 25 ft. 103 inches.
