ROME, Jan. 15. The Opposition, beaded by Giolitti, Salandra and Orlando, presented a. strongly worded resolution in tho Chamber of Deputies declaring that in view of the Government’s encroachments on the liberty of the subject discussion of the Electoral Bill would be injurious. Though it. is regarded as a foregone conclusion that the. resolution, which was bound to lead to-a motion of confidence, will be defeated, it is believed the Opposition is hopeful that a bold display by leading personalities of the old regime will have a moral effect throughout, the country in then - favour.

MUSSOLINI INTERVIEWED

LONDON, Jan. 16

Signor Mussolini, interviewed by the Daily Express correspondent at Rome, said Italy to-day was no more disturbed ■than any other European country, oven England herself. “Wo have conflicts between our political parties,” lie said, but that is not a revolution or war.
