Old boy's in other concerns have a good habit of helping those who follow in their footsteps, and as so many old* cricketers watched our boys do so well, why not come to light •and give our-younger cricketers a hand .in having a cricket field worthy of this growing city? I suggest that the cap tain, -or the committee of the Nelson Association call a meeting of past and cricketers to"formulate a scheme for improving the cricket ground. I am sure they; will find loyal- sports and'citizens enough-to remove the slur this city lias rightly 'oariied’ in regard to* Hawke Cun matches. - With ’the -help'of sports and good citizens we can have a., ground which will be a credit to the city.
