Cr. Kelly reported that the fencing on Webley’.s property had been replaced and tho roading made good, the whole of the trenching from the Reservoir to Hill-strbct has filled . in. Tho pipes hi. Sutton’s property were taken up in fo.uf-leh.gth pipes and in two pipe lengths at and have been - laid down lit Hill-street. Croucher reported that the fence on the west side of-the Cemetery needs urgently repairing, and before planting the macracarpa "hedge, the pennywinkle requires to bo grubbed out, and the trunk of an old gum tree removed. A large macrocarpa tree requires severely cutting back, as at present it is likely to damage graves in the vicinity. * At'-the Recreation Ground several of the trees in the planted area require replacing and additional planes and A lon to Carlo palms will add very much to tho attractiveness of the grounds in the, future. Resolved, on the motion of Cr. Webby, that the matter of planting, fencing, and cleaning up at- the Cemetery and- Recreation Ground be left in the hands of tho Mayor, Deputy-Alayor. and the Reserves Committee with power to act. • /

Web ley. moved that- prices -be obtained for the dumping of quantities' of river gravel on the'different partk of the borough.

Resolved, that, prices bo obtained of 2ft and 3ft pipe moulds : -that- . the names of tho licenses issued within tho borough bo laid on the table at next meeting. This was all the business, and the Council rose at 10 p.m.
