THE CHURCHES
The Choir Festival services at St. John’s Methodist Church are fully set forth in another column. Special music, anthems, and harp solos will be given at each service, and the cantata, “The Holy City,” will be rendered at 8 p.m. The Rev. H. L. Blamires will conduct the preaching sendees. The series of evangeiUstic services will he continued in the Baptist Church to-morrow evening, when the Rev.' J. Laird will preach on the theme, “Just why do we need a Saviour.” A duet, “When I survey the Wondrous Cross,” will bo rendered. Redemption songs. Hymn books provided.
The services in Trinity Presbyterian Church are at 11 a m.'and 6.30 p.m. Rev. J. McNeill will preach. Morning subject“ Love suffereth long.” Evening subject, “Where there is no vision the people perish.” Services of an evangelistic character will he conducted by Captain and Mrs Montgomery to-morrow in the Salvation Army .citadel, -Waimea Street. An earlv service will be held at 7 a.m. ; “Christian Fellowship” is the subject for the 11 a.m. holiness service. At 3 p.m. a happy hour service has been arranged, and this will be led by four separate leaders. _ “Going to the place of his choice” is. the subject for the service at 7 p.m. Tn this service the favourite songs of the congregation will be sung. A large congregation is anticipated. “A Glimpse at the World on the other side (if the grave” is. the subject of the vicar’s sermon to-morrow at All .Saints, Vanguard Street. In the morning Rev.. W. J. Durrad of tho Board of Missions will speak. Tn the afternoon there will be a rally of the All Saints’ Biblo classes, noth an address by Rev. W. ,T. Durrad
Does death end all?” is the subject chosen for discussion at the Church of Christ to-morrow evening by Mr Fitzgerald.
