TOURNAMENT
A meeting of the general entertainment ami billeting committee was held on Tuesday evening, tin- Matures-;, .Mrs W. Lock, presiding. Satisfactory progress reports were; received fro mtlie ball committee and from committees in charge, id. other evening functions. Owing to tlie extension of the tournament it will ho necessary to provide further entertainments. Additional lists of citizens willing to billet players, were handed in. Owing to the exceptional number ol entries, thirteen (proving ike 1 ■ ity of .Nelson as tile place, selected), more billets than at first anticipated | will he required, and the committee | would he pleased to receive offers lor j another AO players. i .Many of the visitors will have heavy j travelling expenses io pay, and t lie j committee feel confident that local residents will be only too willing to help girl players who have derided to come s> far a field.
The committee would he pleased to receive donations towards a billeting fund from any residents, who though unable to billet player, might still ho willing to render some assistance.
