A busy nicotine of the Nelson Progress League was held in Mr IC. .It. Neale’s office yesterday afternoon. There ware present Messrs W. J. Moffatt (President, \V. Lock (Mayor of Nelson), P. Best (Chairman of Waimea County Council), J. Colder (Waimea County), J. Allan Mitchell (President of Chamber of Commerce), James Hunt (Mayor of Richmond), A. Gould (Nelson Harbour Board) and tlie secretary (Mr E. R. Neale). Messrs Duncan (Chairman Nelson Harbour Board) and Everett (Chairman Motueka Harbour Board) were at the Harbours Conference. Mr A. Gilbert was at Takaka and Mr E. G. Page was unable to attend. Various matters, the most important of which are reported in other columns, were dealt with. The President said the voluminous nature of the correspondence files indicated that the secretary had been exceedingly busy since last meeting. It was decided that in future, for the convenience of country members, afternoon meetings be dispensed with and that the meetings commence in the mornings of the second Wednesday after the first Tuesday in the month. Messrs F. G. 'Gibbs and F. I. Ledger were added to the Executive Committee.
