The new Board of Trade regulations, to operate from Ist July 1925 require foreign going vessels, in addition to lifeboats, to carry Buyant apparatus with accommodation for twenty-five per cent of the personnel, also a motor boat equipped wf*i» -wlrelesw and searchlight for every fifteen lifeboats. The davits must be effective against the heaviest list. Each lifeboat in; addition to water and biscuits is to carry one- pound of condensed milk per occupant.- The milk idea is the result of the Trevessa experience. ' • . • ■’
