A friendly game ,of Rugby was played between the Pioneer and; Baptist Scouts on Wednesdayt'a'ftcmoon • last; resulting in a win for tho latter troop by 21 points to mil.' In the' first spell, play was fairly- even, until -E. Russell,-, making - a sharp sprint up tho line, drew first blood for Baptist. This was shortly followed by another try. H. Hughes converting in each ease. The second spell opened with renewed vigour, the Pioneers showing promise of doing gieatei things, but their efforts- were always frustrated by the smart backs of the opposing team. Tries were seeuied by P Russell. (3)v, N.' ?Stewart, H . lorno, three of which.- were converted byi.il. Hughes. Mr J. Patterson kindly acted as referee. ' ■■■■• ' . :
