HOCKEY

A meeting of the Management Committee of the Nelson Hockey Association was held on Tuesday evening, Mr H. J. Savage in the chair. Correspondence was received from V cllingtuu, Wairarapa, Manawutu, Ruafiine, Hawke’s iiaj', and Southland Hockey Associations signifying their intention of sending teams to participate in the New Zealand Ladies ’ Championslup Tournament, to be held in Nelson. A letter was also received from the Wairarapa Association inviting the men’s senior team to play a match this season. Decided that unable to accept the invitation. A letter from the Bullor Association asked for suitable date to send a team to Nelson. —Decided to offer August 23. Re men’s championship tournament at Christchurch. —Decided that no entry bo made. "A committee was formed to raise funds for entertaining visiting ladies’ teams. H. Bush was registered as a senior player (Federal Club). Decided that letter from N.Z.H.A. re hooking of sticks be referred to Referees’ Association for a recommendation. A vote to the chair concluded the meeting.
